How It Works

The beauty of Philips' razor is its ergonomic head, which has a flexible attachment that glides along the contours of my face. It handles like a traditional razor, though it still has a bit of a learning curve to understand how hard to press it, and how to move it around your face to get a shave. It also comes with length comb attachments, which means you can use this to cut side burns, clean up a mustache, or even groom body hair in a cinch.

What We Love About the OneBlade

Versatile Design

We can't emphasize enough how multifunctional this electric razor is. The OneBlade has a slim build and a dual-sided blade that comes with three clipper attachments to tackle hair just about everywhere. Its fast-moving cutter goes up to 12,000 times per minute, which makes clipping even tougher, longer hair easy. After testing the OneBlade for a week on my face, neck, and body, I found that it was easy to use on my face, neck, and body. Its blade was able to create clean lines with precision and control.

When it came to grooming my body, the OneBlade also excelled. Switching the body blades was a cinch (much easier than other clippers), and I loved that the blade's skinguard added an extra layer of protection for sensitive areas like my armpits and groin. The OneBlade's comfortable-yet-solid grip also meant I could use it in the shower without worrying about it slipping off.

It's Great for Shaping Stubble

I like to maintain a slight five-o-clock shadow, and the OneBlade is the perfect tool for shaping it. Since the blade is double-sided, it's easy to edge around my jawline and cheekbones without having to worry about nicks or irritation. I can imagine this also makes the OneBlade great for shaping mustaches. In short, it's replaced my bulkier beard trimmer.

It Adjusts to the Curves of Your Face

With other razors that I've tried, I've had to use multiple strokes to shave hard-to-reach areas like my temples, chin and jawline. But the Norelco OneBlade flexes to the curves of my face for constant skin contact, and mowed through my stubble in only a couple of strokes. That saved me time and gave me an even closer shave than lesser razors.

Water Resistant

The OneBlade is fully waterproof. We used it in the shower and found it cuts almost as closely as dry shaving. And if you're a person who applies shaving cream, no need to worry about trouble washing it. In just one simple rinse, it was super easy to clean.

Travel-Friendly

I love that it's small and super lightweight because it can conveniently fit into my dopp kit along with my usual line up of skincare products. For anyone that's constantly on the go like myself will be able to maintain their shave on the road.

What We Don't Like About the OneBlade

Great for Stubble, but Not a Clean Shave

One thing we did find about the Philips Norelco OneBlade, is that it doesn't close as closely as other electric razors we've tested. One tester noted that it always leaves a very slight amount of stubble, so if you're into a clean-cut, baby-smooth type of shave, this might not be for you.

The Final Verdict

If you want to efficiently shave or trim the hair on your face and body, the Philips Norelco OneBlade is a must-have in your grooming kit. Compared to other hybrid razors, it provides a shaving experience like no other and and works comfortably against sensitive skin.
