Eating like a caveman isn't easy.

The Paleo Diet argues that eating like our ancestors from 10,000 years ago is healthier than we eat now. And, so, that means that you should probably stop eating many of the foods you enjoy now.

The upside: You no longer have an excuse to eat crappy frozen pizza and boxed macaroni and cheese.

The downside: The diet also considers dairy, whole grains, and legumes to be "processed" foods, which means you can't have them.

If that idea doesn't make you want to beat your head in with a club, here are a few simple meal ideas. They're quick to put together and come from Michelle Tam, food blogger and author of Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans.

Breakfast

Try this: It's cool to eat breakfast for dinner, but why not dinner for breakfast? Tam regularly eats leftovers for her first meal of the day. She throws in some salad greens or an egg and, bam, it's a whole new meal.

Lunch

Try this: Embrace the bread-free wrap. Use lettuce to envelope burgers, chicken, salmon, or eggs. Then pile on the vegetables and Paleo-approved condiments, like guacamole.

Dinner

Try this: Grill a simple piece of fish or steak and steam some broccoli. Invest in a variety of spices (garlic, turmeric, chili powder, and curry) to make each meal feel different.
