Over the years, we’ve had our favorite celebs walk us through everything they eat in a day—beginning with what’s probably not the most important meal, but still an important meal, nonetheless. That’s breakfast. (Or, if you’re doing the morning fast thing, whatever you call that first meal when the sun has already been up for way too long.)

Four of our favorite answers include The Rock, The Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson), Terry Crews, and Action Bronson. The four vary in their exact food choices—for The Rock, it’s bison or steak (along with some grains and fruit) and eggs; for Björnsson, it’s beef tenderloin (along with oats and fruit) and eggs; for Crews, after a morning fast, it’s bacon and salad, and eggs; and for Bronson, who lost 127 pounds in 2020, it’s a shake, and eggs. As you can tell by this point, their common ingredient is the same (it’s eggs!), as is their macronutrient: protein.

Their answers align with what current breakfast science suggests is the best way to kickstart your day—and it’s not a sugary cereal. A high-protein breakfast (compared to one high in carbohydrates) has been shown to help lower cravings and increase satiety. In other words: it makes you feel more full and it helps you eat less crap after you’re done.

The four also eat another important nutrient: fiber. These guys get it from the oats and fruits they combine with their egg and non-egg proteins. But bro science aside, these guys eat what they eat because it makes them feel good. (Also, because they get paid to look good, but let’s save the cynicism for lunch.)
