Men's Health Six Pack: Derek Jeter's Essential Gear
From a chromed-out beard trimmer to a pair of designer sneakers.
THE CAPTAIN still has a lot on his plate these days. Most of his time is dedicated to family—he just welcomed his fourth child in May—but when Jeter is not in full dad mode, he's overseeing a number of ventures that keep him busy in his post-MLB career. One of those is helping run his Turn 2 Foundation with his sister Sharlee Jeter, the President of the foundation. Created in 1996, Turn 2 supports programs that help motivate kids to avoid drugs and alcohol and 'Turn 2" healthy lifestyles. (Last month alone, the Turn 2 Foundation raised over $1 million in donations during the Derek Jeter Invitational golf tournament held at Baha Mar Resort.)
Jeter is also getting into the broadcast booth this year, serving a role as a studio analyst for MLB games on Fox Sports. He recently made his TV debut during the MLB London Series that aired on June 24th, and will continue to provide commentary alongside former players like David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez. And to top it off, Jeter in involved in a number of businesses; his apparel company Greatness Wins; and an online trading card marketplace called Arena Club, which he's been investing in since last fall, according to Bloomberg.
It's safe to say Jeter is bucking the traditional post-retirement lifestyle. Here, the Yankee legend shares with us his six essentials.

Jeter doesn't leave town without his iPad, and he brings an Apple Pencil along with it. "I write everything down now."
Jeter became a fan of this power bank after running into a situation while traveling abroad. "I plugged my phone in to charge and fried it," he says. "I had to go buy another phone."

"My wife is responsible for everything I wear—every accessory, clothes, you name it." His current favorite pair of shoes she picked out for him are these crisp Dior sneakers.

Whether he's lounging around the house or playing in the yard with his kids, Jeter is always wearing workout apparel from his brand. "I like our Core Tech Tee, because it's made to be comfortable."

Coffee is the fuel that keeps the former pro athlete going. His vessel of choice is a Yeti Lowball mug with a custom Turn 2 Foundation engraving.
Jeter kept his signature clean shave going for years after his playing career ended. "I didn't have facial until the Pandemic in 2020," he says. "I got lazy the first time I ever had a beard. So I do have a beard trimmer now."
